An opportunity to give back

At Opportune we love to support community initiatives that align with our values. Since 2021 we have been a proud sponsor of the Nature School Progamme, an initiative that gets kids outdoors to learn about the environment and planet.

With a mission to use New Zealand’s nature as the third teacher to inspire creative hearts, hands and minds, Nature School offers kids a balance of creative play and skill-based learning through the outdoors.

reduce footprint organisation

How we reduce our own footprint

At Opportune we lead by example by taking action to reduce our own business footprint and the footprint of our staff.

We measure our own emissions footprint annually to monitor our progress and introduce new reduction initiatives continuously. Reducing our staff travel and flights, replacing with video calls, reducing electricity use in the office, switching off lights, and biking to work are some of the initiatives put in place to date.

We don’t offset our footprint by buying carbon credits but instead donate to worthy charitable causes which are aligned with educating, communicating and taking action on climate change.
